Fallow deer are a striking midsize deer that range in color from
light brown with white spots, to white, to chocolate. As they
mature the horns palmate. If all three colors (that meet ROE
minimums) are taken you will have a Fallow Deer Slam with
ROE and 3 beautiful trophies. Hunts take place from October
through February.

Axis deer are a Texas favorite for many reasons, many roam free in various parts of the state (although that number is dwindling), they are beautiful animals and magnificent trophies, and they are extremely good table fare. Hard antlered bucks are available to hunt most of the year.

Arguably the most striking exotic in Texas, the stark contrast with the black back and white belly combined with the spiral twisting horns make for a beautiful trophy. Blackbuck can be hunted year around.

These stately deer are breathtaking both for their body and antler size. They are reddish brown in the summer and often turn darker and a bit grayer in the winter. Stag hunts are available from September-Feburary. t

This beautiful antelope was declared extinct in the wild (Africa) but has been rescued in large part due to Texas ranchers. Many ranches offer hunts for Scimitar and they have even been re-introduced into parts of Africa.

One the smaller elk species, color ranges from mahogany to black, and white individuals are also known. During winter, the coat becomes darker and shaggier and the spots less prominent, and a mane forms on the males.
